Key stage 1 Fire of London story text and English resources 'Whiskers and the Great fire of London'
I created this very simple short story to use with a year 1 or 2 class as a basis for story or diary writing based around the great fire of London.
It’s the simple tale of Whiskers the cat who discovers a fire in the bakery on Pudding Lane and alerts the people of London becoming a local hero!
Children can then write their own version changing the animal or a diary extract of Whiskers adventures
Supporting resources also included.
